One standout moment in their set was the performance of their current single, the melodious 'Sapphire.' For those unfamiliar with the band, this track serves as a perfect introduction to their multifaceted sonic realm—a beguiling blend of melancholic beauty and ethereal melodies that transports listeners to otherworldly realms.

However, while Alcest's musical journey was an enchanting one, the venue's sound left something to be desired. In the quest to capture the band's intricate soundscapes, there were moments when the sonic clarity faltered, reminding us that the pursuit of sonic perfection is an ever-elusive endeavor. The audience, though undoubtedly appreciative of Alcest's artistry, could have shown a touch more enthusiasm. But perhaps this is simply the nature of Brugge Belgium—a place where understated appreciation often speaks louder than raucous applause. For those who might have missed the initial leg of the tour, fear not, for the lineup continues to traverse the road. On November 2nd, they will grace Stuttgart with their enchanting presence, promising another night of musical transcendence. In a world where musical genres seek to confine and classify, Alcest stands as a beacon of artistic freedom, inviting listeners to embark on a sonic odyssey that knows no boundaries.

But nothing could have prepared me for what awaited on a fateful summer night in Amsterdam.
